ELW (English Language Workshop)
was founded in 2001 with the aim of bringing in quality education in English to students and teachers in Malaysia. We employ teaching methods which are proven to motivate and encourage a child's love for the English language. It is our aim to not only teach children to speak and write English well but also to teach kids how to learn. Well-developed learning habits are the keys to successful life-long learning.

The English Language Workshop Curriculum:

Focuses on the developing and practicing the four language skills: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.

Builds and Expands the cornerstones of Language, Grammar and Vocabulary, beginning from a young age.

Teaches through Discovery, where specially trained teachers allow children the ability to encounter, explore and experience the English language in “Real-Life” situations as part of “hands-on” activities in classes.

Has been actively developed and tested in Malaysia for over 10 years.

Stages English as a First Language Learning to Correlate with Brain Growth in children to allow for the Optimum Time to present materials and establish Cognitive Links in the Brain.

Comprehensively covers the English Language Syllabus of the Ministry of Education, Singapore and Australia in the Early Years, Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary years.

Fun
Students enjoy their English Language Programs at ELW. The programs at ELW are designed for students to learn the 4 skills of English through a fun and structured syllabus.
We Get Results
Our students are systematically prepared to cover every aspect of the English language not only for academic purposes but also for practical use for the rest of their lives. Our graduated students have continued their academic studies abroad to Singapore, and have found that they have been readily accepted to primary, secondary and post-secondary institutions at their respective grade levels with no need for additional remedial lessons. Several students have received scholarships to study abroad (Asean Scholarship) and numerous others have received merit awards and rankings for their language skills, within one year of school admittance abroad. Our students who study locally receive top marks consistently in their English language classes.

Kid Facilities
Our clean, spacious, safe, fully air-conditioned classes have been specifically designed for children and their differing needs and interests (and sizes).
Library
Our library is well stocked with a vast assortment of quality books imported from abroad, suitable for varying reading levels and students are encouraged to stay and read or borrow to take home.
Reading Programme
All students are initially “diagnosed” in their Reading ability and Reading strategies, and are placed in the Reading Program which is a staged reading program which firstly encourages the development of a reading hobby and secondly encourages the practice of reading strategies to help our students become more effective readers.
Atmosphere
"English-only" is required throughout our facility to provide your child with plenty of opportunity to practice their skills in practical situations.
Small Group Size (3 to 8 Students Max)
Class sizes at ELW will not exceed a maximum of 8 students. Weaker students are grouped into small class size of 3 to better guide the students. The classrooms are designed with the intention to give full student-teacher interaction with an average class size of 5 students only.
